Putting skins on credit cards

Just got a release titled “New Dawn in Viral Marketing.” Nothing like a grand promise. A company called CreditCovers offers to dress up our cards in skins so that we can promote our causes, our passions, our personal brands, every time we flash the plastic. (NY Times mag wrote about them a few weeks ago.)

Will this take off? I think so. I remember sitting in conference rooms in Helsinki a decade ago as Finnish designers told me that people would want to brand themselves with their cell phones. Turned out they were right, at least for some of us.

Now I’m thinking: What do I want to communicate about me when I flash the credit card? Oh, I’ve got it:
