The Entry Points at P&G

Steve Bean is the associate director for North America talent supply at consumer-goods giant Procter & Gamble (PG). There, he overseas all undergraduate and graduate recruiting for the company behind popular products such as Swiffer, Gillette, Folgers, Tide, Cover Girl, Pampers, and Duracell. Bean heads all on-campus recruiting and hiring efforts in North America. P&G currently employs over 135,000 people in more than 80 countries. (See BusinessWeek.com, 9/14/06, "Who's Hiring"). He serves as the Marketing MBA recruiter as well.

After 22 years at P&G, the former industrial engineer is enthusiastic about his company's mantra of creating consumer goods that touch the lives of people everyday. In fact, these values and the people behind them are the main reasons Procter & Gamble attracts top students in this hot job market, he says (see BusinessWeek.com, 3/21/06, "The Jobs Come Looking for Grads").
