Exxon Mobil (XOM) posts $1.72 vs. $1.20 second quarter earnings per share (EPS) on a 12% revenue rise.
DaimlerChrysler (DCX) posts $2.26 vs. 93 cents second quarter EPS on flat revenues. It says EPS improvement is primarily due to significant increase in operating profit achieved by the Mercedes Car Group. It continues to see 2006 operating profit in excess of $7.7 billion.
Dow Chemical (DOW) posts $1.05 vs. $1.30 second quarter EPS as another major rise in feedstock and energy costs offset a 9.2% sales rise. It believes it will be difficult to meet its earlier expectations that 2006 EPS will be better than in 2005.
Coca-Cola Enterprises (CCE) posts 57 cents vs. 56 cents second quarter EPS (non-GAAP) on a 6% revenue rise. It reaffirms 2006 EPS in the range of $1.27 to $1.32 (including stock option expense).
Vivendi (V) posts EUR 9.572 million vs. EUR 9.046 million second half 2006 revenue, an increase of 5.8% (+4.6% at constant currency).
Aetna (AET) posts 65 cents vs. 57 cents second quarter operating EPS on a 14% revenue rise. It ups 2006 operating EPS guidance to $2.77-$2.79. Checkpoint Systems (CKP) posts 13 cents vs. 20 cents second quarter EPS from continuing operations on an 11% revenue drop (constant basis.) It says that based on current market conditions, it now expects 2006 revenue to be down 7%-9% and third quarter revenue down about 10%.
T.Rowe Price (TROW) posts 49 cents vs. 38 cents second quarter EPS on a 23% revenue rise.
Comcast (CMCSA) posts 19 cents (excluding 3 cents gain) vs. 19 cents second quarter EPS on an 11% revenue rise. It raises its 2006 outlook.
