Employee Bloggers: Move to France

Heather Green

Ah ha! Another reason to move to France. Amid all the hubbub about blogging and employees being fired, an English French woman who was fired by her employer in France is suing. She writes under the pseudonym Catherine at the blog Petite Anglaise. In France, where it's harder to fire employees, this is being seen as a test case, the AP writes.

Of course, the beauty of this is that I can't visit the site because I have been blocked access by my job. Did I read that right? BusinessWeek blocks your access to blogs?

Hey Jackie,

I think this must be a glitch, because I have been given special blank access to content. We're owned by McGraw-Hill and like a lot of comapnies they have restrictions on the kinds of Web sites (including blogs) you can access. Reporters at BusinessWeek get exemptions.

Another glitch!! Before you get all anti-French The person in question is British working for a British accountancy firm, who lives and work(s)(ed) in France. The hint is in her name "petite anglaise".

You guys seem to have the same reading comprehension issues that Scoble has. This has very little to do with France

Thanks Andy!
