Seeing as how NBA Street V3 dominated the courts last year, NBA Ballers: Phenom had a monstrous task. But, fortunately, the game still succeeds over the previous edition with a more tricked-out story mode that gives you a feeling of exploration (almost like an RPG) and two-on-two gameplay that hunkers back to the old days of NBA Jam. But still, the gameplay itself hasn't really evolved that much, and those who didn't feel the vibe from the first game will certainly not feel it here either. It looks like it was built for the fans, those who want to create their own basketball legacy. For that particular audience, the game succeeds.
