Hotmail: a spam magnet

Stephen Baker

Does Microsoft care about Hotmail anymore? If so, why not do more about spam on the service? I'm erasing about 15 spams a day in my account. GMail and Yahoo! Mail are doing a far better job. To be fair to Microsoft, I use Hotmail for all my e-commerce stuff, so that address is circulating more. But I get no sense that the system learns when I move inbox items into the spam folder. Shouldn't it be smart enough to blacklist those senders? Has anyone figured out how to de-spam Hotmail?

spam and other abuses

I have stopped using my hotmail account altogether. I got tired of wading through all the spam you refer to above.

How do you Black-List a sender when the sender changes on each message??

I wouldn't be surprised if Bill Gates is charging spam generators to allow their ads into our inboxes. It's not a technical issue. Yahoo filters out spam - no problem.

If you look at the items that get through - mostly mainstream advertisers - like soda survey Pepsi-Coke.

Just another corporate deception. Corporations, like politicians are deceiving us. Consumers are too stupid to get a clue that we're not running anything and being lied to constantly.

This is just a microcosm of the vast deception that's subtly taking place accross the US while our future erodes with mounting debt, congestion and the fading American Dream.

Like the Hotmail Spam Scam by Bill Gates, the public doesn't have a clue to all the dirty tricks and deceptions that are prevalent.

This has become such a Bullsh*t Society, from the freudulent Don't-Call list to Uncontrolled Borders, to the medical uninsured mess, to the campaign-finance bribery schemes, to the drug company bullsh*t ads and lies, to the war for cheap oil in Iraq, to the indifference to global warming, to the mounting debt that's going to ruin our future for good.

Democracy assumes informed, critical thinking and rational voters. The average voter/consumer is stupid and easily manipulated through primal fears by Big Corporations and no one seems to see it.

put your tinfoil hat back on Dan Golay, most of the spam getting through hotmail is the same fake-watch, V1@gra, online-poker, and stock pump-and-dumps everybody else gets.
