MARKETSCOPE : Energy prices were mixed in later trade on Friday, as investors squared their positions away ahead of the weekend and watched Hurricane Wilma hitting Cancun, Mexico.
November West Texas Intermediate crude, which skidded to a $59.15 low at the outset, rebounded 61 cents to $60.63. November heating oil futures were off 34 cents to 186.65 cents, while November gasoline futures were up 2.69 cents to 164.00. November natural gas was off 11 cents to $12.87.
Wilma was expected to veer toward Florida -- not toward the offshore Louisiana and Texas oil rigs that are currently recovering from damage caused by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
