Yahoo Launches Podcasting Service
Yahoo has jumped into the podcasting fray, offering a podcasting aggregation service to take on Apple and AOL.
Better late than never, and it looks like Yahoo is doing much more than Apple at helping surface indie podcasters. It's offering community ratings and tagging for search and discover. In the middle of the page it also has lists of the popular and highest rated podcasts, which I need to check out.

It's a great first cut for sure, but hopefully they will update some things. Right now there doesn't appear to be any way to "claim" a show as your own so that you can update the information, graphics, etc. It also feels very strange for anyone to be able to edit any tags on any podcast. Seems like something that could be abused in a not so friendly way. It's going to be fun to watch this evolve.
