The iPod nano Watch

Peter Burrows

So is Apple's iPod nano hot or not? I've heard mixed reports, but this bit of anecdotal evidence seems compelling. My bureau's crackerjack FedEx guy, Craig Yamamura, says he and his mates were run ragged by a sudden burst of iPod nano deliveries today. He says they had to bring in extra people just to make all their deliveries in Foster City, Calif. "The orders just kept coming in," he says. "This must have been the first day that the online orders were coming through" to FedEx for delivery.

Is this just what's happening in this corner of Silicon Valley, or will the nano craze sweeps the nation? I'm waiting for Apple to issue a press release, citing initial sales figures, as it has done on occasion for other products in the past.
