Off to the Webbies

Stephen Baker

I'm off to the Webbies in an hour. Looks like I'll get drenched just moving 12 blocks south. If any of you are there, look for me. I see on the fact sheet that Al Gore will be there and that tickets go for $225. But do I need to wear a tie? If the five-word acceptance speeches turn out to be good, I'll blog a few of them tomorrow a.m. --photo morguefile

I love Blogspotting. However, I've been waiting for Wildstrom's - and others'? - podcasts. Where are they?

Frank, we're doing a big special issue this week, and everyone that has anything to do with our Internet operation is tied up. I sent a memo last Thursday outline plans for podcasts. I was told to wait until we close this monster (ie. til tomorrow). I'm very excited about doing the podcasts. But one thing I'm pushing for is good portable equipment, so that we don't have to drag people up into a studio on the 46th floor. It has to be more spontaneous than that.

Cool. Step by step, baby steps ...

Good luck. Gnomedex?
