Admissions Advice from Wharton

To land a seat at a top-ranked B-school such as The Wharton School (No. 5 in BusinessWeek's 2002 rankings), applicants must stand out from thousands of competitors. But it takes more than good grades, excellent work experience, and a strong personality to make the cut.

If you're looking for tips on getting selected to Wharton's next class of full-time MBA students, you don't want to miss this event. Rosemaria Martinelli, director of MBA Admissions and financial aid at Wharton, will join us on Thursday, Sept. 9, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. EST. Martinelli will describe what the ideal Wharton MBA looks like on paper and what it takes to land an interview -- and no one is accepted without one. She also has plenty to say about the school's financial-aid options and student life in Philadelphia.

Your co-hosts for this event will be Jack Dierdorff (BWJack), consulting editor of BusinessWeek Online and former managing editor of the magazine, and Mica Schneider (MicaBW), BW Online's reporter covering management education.

Hope to see you there!

BusinessWeek Online rotates chat days and times so that everyone has a chance to tune in.
