"Repairing The Engines Of Life" (Cover Story, May 24, 2004)

"Repairing the engines of life" (Cover Story, May 24) contained on page 104 an incorrect reference to fetuses in a sentence about embryonic stem cells. It should have said: "Conceivably, [the cells] could be harvested from early embryos and given the signals they need to turn into heart muscle, neurons, or any other tissue for patients who need them." In the table accompanying "Choosing an online broker" (Personal Business, May 17), incomplete pricing information was provided to BusinessWeek by E*Trade Financial. Basic E*Trade market and limit orders cost $19.99 + 1 cents/share over 5,000; Priority level trades are $12.99 + 1 cents/share over 5,000. There is a $25/quarter fee for those with less than $5,000 in assets or less than two trades in the past six months and a $3 order handling fee for Basic E*Trade customers.

In addition, charges its Silver level clients 1 1/2 cents/share over 1,000 on top of the $14.95/$19.95 market/limit order price. The table of contents entry for "Nissan: The squeaks get louder" (News: Analysis & Commentary, May 17), should have referred to Nissan's plant in Smyrna, Miss, not a Georgia plant.
