Amgen Agrees to Acquire Tularik

Turalik (TLRK) agrees to be acquired by Amgen (AMGN) in stock deal valued at $1.3 billion, or $25 per share. Amgen already owns about 20% of Tularik, which develops oral drugs that use gene regulation to treat cancer, immune disorders, and metabolic diseases. (3/29)

Millennium Chemicals (MCH) agrees to be acquired by Lyondell Chemical (LYO). Terms: between 0.95-1.05 shares of LYO stock for each MCH share held. The companies said the stock swap is valued at about $1 billion, and Lyondell also will assume nearly $1.3 billion of Millennium's debt. (3/29)

Hollywood Entertainment (HLYW) agrees to be acquired by an affiliate of Leonard Green & Partners for $14 cash per HLYW share. (3/29)

Arch Wireless (AWIN) and Metrocall Holding (MTOH) agree to merge; a new holding company will be formed. AWIN holders will get 1 share the new holding company for each AWIN stock they own. MTOH holders will get $150 million in cash, and 27.5% shares of the new holding company's stock. (3/29)
