DB Alex. Brown downgraded its rating on FactSet Research (FDS) to market perform from buy. On June 12, FactSet said it expected fiscal 2001 EPS slightly above the $0.96 consensus.
Analyst Peter Appert says he remains bullish on the company's long-term prospects but slightly more cautious on its short-term prospects. He sees slowing revenue growth for at least the next couple of quarters, and pressure on margins from increased infrastructure costs. Appert says near term upside to the stock may be limited. He raised his $0.96 fiscal 2001 (Aug.) EPS estimate to $0.97, but cut his $1.18 fiscal 2002 EPS forecast to $1.17.
