DON'T DAMN ALL LATIN ECONOMIES FOR THE SINS OF A FEW
In "Whiplash in emerging markets" (Finance, May 2), you should not assume that a debt crisis in Mexico and Brazil means that the rest of Latin America is in the same situation.
Colombia, in fact, is in very good shape, and I understand that Chile and Argentina, as well as smaller countries such as Bolivia and Costa Rica, are all on the upswing. Others, such as Peru, are coming out of the dark.
Why discredit all countries in Latin America just because the two big ones are not doing well?
