WHERE ALL THE BOEINGS ARE GOING
Your article "Exports go Pffft" (Top of the News, Aug. 3) carries a remark attributed to me that may be misinterpreted by a casual reader, and I wish to make the statement clear. A key factor in the leveling of export growth for Boeing in the near term is the year-over-year decline in exports of 747s, which will fall from 59 to somewhere between 54 and 57 units. Total deliveries of the 747s have also declined from 64 units in 1991 to 61 for 1992, but not to the numbers noted as export shipments.
