Dolan School of Business

About Dolan School of Business

The Charles F. Dolan School of Business at Fairfield University provides both undergraduate and graduate students with a rigorous, nationally recognized, AACSB-accredited education. Located in the NYC-Boston corridor, the Dolan School is within 25 miles of both the Stamford, CT and New Haven, CT business districts and an hour train ride into New York City. As one of the Jesuit institutions of higher-learning, all students are educated to be thoughtful, ethical leaders who also take into account others while in their professional pursuits. Areas of study include: accounting, finance, international business, information systems/operations, management and marketing. At the undergraduate level, in addition to their business coursework, students benefit from Fairfield’s robust arts and humanities core, which provides a well-rounded, socially and culturally relevant educational opportunity. This rich learning experience, coupled with a dedicated internship office and a variety of study abroad options, enable Dolan undergraduates to enter the marketplace well-prepared and with distinct competitive advantages. At the graduate level, students are able to study in one of three programs: the generalist MBA (allowing for a concentrated area of study), the specialized Master of Accounting and the specialized Master of Finance. A distinctiveness of the MBA is its required breath classes, in which students are exposed to cutting edge and most-relevant concepts from each discipline. The MSA program consistently attracts the Big 4 recruiters, as students not only gain advanced knowledge in the field but also become better prepared for the various parts of the rigorous CPA licensing exam. The MSF provides advanced studies for students who are interested in either the investment or corporate career route. Further, it has gained even greater attention from international students, due to the combined focus on theory and application.

The intense dedication and support of the Dolan Business School faculty is the most unique aspect of the program. Their willingness to meet your needs and provide the most instructive and worthwhile education experience possible is the hallmark of this school in my opinion. They really care and it shows.
