of July 31, 2014, short interest in 2,227 NASDAQ Global Market^SM securities
totaled 8,235,627,809 shares compared with 8,117,141,439 shares in 2,221
Global Market issues reported for the prior settlement date of July 15, 2014.
The end-of-July short interest represents 4.94 days average daily NASDAQ
Global Market share volume for the reporting period, compared with 4.48 days
for the prior reporting period.
Short interest in614 securities on The NASDAQ Capital Market^SM
totaled615,255,116 shares at the end of the settlement date of July 31, 2014
compared with616,632,206 shares in609 securities for the previous reporting
period. This represents5.30 days average daily volume, compared with the
previous reporting period's figure of4.28.
