MUMBAI, July 23, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --

More than 33,000 Sodexo employees in 36 countries donated and collected enough
food for 815,000 meals and raised funds to fight hunger and malnutrition
during the company's annual Servathon in April and May. All together, Sodexo
employees volunteered more than 82,100 hours to help their local community
members have enough food to eat.

Every year for the past 10 years, Stop Hunger's Servathon has provided an
opportunity for employees to join together, often hand-in-hand with Sodexo's
clients, to fight against hunger and malnutrition. Over a two-month period,
Servathon teams throughout the world work to serve people in need by providing
thousands of meals, holding food drives, and raising money to support local
stop hunger efforts.

According to World Food Programme, India is home to a quarter of all
undernourished people worldwide. Guided by Sodexo's worldwide commitment to
fight hunger and malnutrition, their employees in India volunteered 689 hours
to help disadvantaged children and senior citizens by raising funds, donating
582 kilos of food and serving 755 meals to make a small yet meaningful impact
to the lives of these people.

" The real power of Servathon is the Sodexo people. By coming together in
local actions, this operation has a real impact on the people most in need ,"
said Clodine Pincemin, President of Stop Hunger . " What happens in all of the
local communities radically changes the lives of people, and Sodexo volunteers
often report that they are transformed by their participation as well. I am
very grateful to Sodexo for helping us in our mission to fight hunger and
malnutrition around the world. "
