SodaStream, the world leader in home beverage carbonation stations, is
continuing its ongoing mission to empower consumers by launching the Ultimate
Mixologist Contest. Beginning July 2, 2014, SodaStream will invite consumers
across the country to create and submit their custom cocktail or mocktail
recipe along with a brief video demonstration via either the brand’s Facebook
or Instagram pages. Two winners will be selected via online popular vote and
will receive an all-expense paid trip for two to the San Diego Spirits
Festival on August 23-24.

The Ultimate Mixologist Contest seeks to inspire and empower consumers to use
their imagination to create unique, delicious, better-for-you beverages that
showcase the endless options SodaStream can offer. Whether creating a tangy,
flavorful alcoholic beverage or a sweet, refreshing virgin cocktail, the sky’s
the limit for inventive, lower-calorie, guilt-free drink creations.

Contest is a fun way to engage consumers in the brand by giving them the
opportunity to pair their creativity and imagination with the versatility of
our system to craft original drink recipes. We are eager to see what our
community of SodaStream users creates.”

In order to be considered, participant video entries should be no longer than
60 seconds, and must include the dedicated hashtag, #SodaStreamMixologist. The
contest, which kicks off today, will run for four weeks in US and Canada,
ending on August 3, 2014, with an additional one week voting period.
SodaStream will select the top five finalists, with the Ultimate Mixologist
being selected by fan votes via the contest page. All five finalists will be
outfitted with accoutrements for an ultimate Sodastream “man cave.”

The contest will launch with a series of videos detailing some of the brand’s
top drink recipes, which can also be found online. The brand’s how-to videos
and select consumer videos will live on SodaStream’s YouTube Channel.
Additionally, SodaStream will be issuing a $20 rebate on any soda maker
purchased for a limited time, starting today to commemorate the Ultimate
Mixologist Contest.
