Countdown to Germany's World Cup(TM) Games: Heye OMD Uses Sizmek's Innovative Technology Solution for McDonald's(R) Online World Cup Campaign in Germany  HAMBURG, Germany and NEW YORK, June 20, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sizmek Technologies GmbH, the German subsidiary of the global open ad-management platform Sizmek Inc. (Nasdaq:SZMK), together with Heye OMD, Munich, has created and served a McDonald's online football World Cup campaign. The campaign's aim is to introduce families to the Big Mac^® and the specialty burgers created for the World Cup. A countdown timer embedded in the advertisement showed the time remaining until Germany's World Cup games against Portugal and Ghana, further creating a close connection to the World Cup games. With this dynamic overlay, the pre-rolls are perfectly charged with a sense of anticipation for the World Cup.  The online campaign, which can be seen on popular websites such as, GMX and from 25/5 until 22/6, is also being promoted on TV, radio and digital out-of-home. The central element of the campaign is the story of a grandmother and her grandson who, in the run-up to the World Cup, converts her into a true football fan. In addition, large-format display ads (Dynamic Sitebar) are shown online on World Cup-related pages such as, t-online/Sport and Bild/Sport.
