Having recently transferred to the base, troubled Private Prewitt (Robert Lonsdale) falls for Lorene (Siubhan Harrison), the kind-hearted escortclub girl, while simultaneously his platoon sergeant, Warden (Darius Campbell), embarkson a dangerousaffair with his commanding officer’s wife, Karen (Rebecca Thornhill), setting the lives of both men on a course they cannot control. As war approaches, the worldsof the fourlovers and the soldiers of G Company are dramatically ripped apart. Captured over two nights and directed for the screen by Nick Morris (“Les Miserables 25th Anniversary Concert” and “Phantom of the Opera 25th Anniversary Concert”), the production was adapted for the stage by Tim Rice (lyrics), Stuart Brayson (music) and Bill Oakes (book). Rice has worked in music, theatre and films since 1965 with productions including “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,” “Jesus Christ Superstar” and “Evita.” He later won two Oscars working with Disney on “The Lion King” and “Aladdin.” “Fathom Events is absolutely delighted to give U.S. audiences the first opportunity to experience ‘From Here to Eternity’ in movie theaters before it is even available on Broadway,” said Shelly Maxwell, executive vice president of Fathom Events. “Musical theater fans are in for an evening they won’t soon forget with what Tim Rice has created.” About AC JV, LLC Fathom Events is owned by a newly formed entity called AC JV, LLC.Fathom is the recognized leader in the alternative entertainment industry, offering a variety of one-of-a-kind entertainment events in movie theaters nationwide that include live, high-definition performances of the Metropolitan Opera, the performing arts, major sporting events, music concerts, comedy series, Broadway shows, original programming featuring entertainment’s biggest stars, socially relevant documentaries with audience Q&A and much more.
