Cash donations were also raised through registrations for the company’s annual employee 5k run/walk event held June 7 and through purchasing the ability to dress in casual attire during the month of June. “Many families experience greater hunger in the summer because children do not receive free or reduced breakfast and lunch at school,” said Executive Director of PRISM, Michelle Ness. “These donations help keep our PRISM shelves stocked with nutritious foods during the summer months when demand increases.” Allianz Life has sponsored an annual Spirit of Giving Campaign since 2000. Over the years Allianz Life employees have donated more than 250,000 pounds of food, 250,000 pounds of clothing and nearly $500,000 in cash donations, showing a strong ongoing commitment to the local community.
