Urban Community Garden 
Organic produce grown will be donated to local charities, feed team

TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 06/03/14 --   On Wednesday June
4, 2014 during National Environment Week, TELUS will unveil the
city's first corporate urban garden to generate fresh, local, organic
produce for charitable organizations in the Greater Toronto Area and
TELUS team members. Distinguished guests will attend the launch at
TELUS House Toronto, a LEED Gold-certified development in the
downtown core, and learn about the extensive sustainability work
undertaken to bring this garden to life.  
Join our curator for a rooftop garden tour, discover TELUS' best
practices in sustainability and hear details about how TELUS plans to
offer employees hands-on educational workshops to help advance their
health and wellness.  
As a part of TELUS' commitment to the community, the TELUS Toronto
Community Board will present a cheque to Green Thumbs Growing Kids -
a Greater Toronto Area-based non-profit registered charity that works
with underprivileged urban children, youth and their families to
teach them about growing and preparing fresh foods in an
environmentally sustainable manner.
