Company Celebrates Sponsorship With New "Peel. Play. Ole, Ole"
In-Store Game and Online Sweepstakes, First-Time Global Redesign of

sponsorship of the 2014 FIFA World Cup(TM), McDonald's USA is
connecting soccer fans with once-in-a-lifetime trips to experience
the 2014 FIFA World Cup(TM) in Brazil.  
McDonald's will award lucky fans with trips to Rio de Janeiro as part
of the national "Peel. Play. Ole, Ole" game, which starts June 10 in
restaurants and online. Awarded during the first two weeks of the
online sweepstakes, the trip to Brazil includes tickets to the
third-place and FIFA World Cup(TM) Final match, fan access and more.

And for the first time, McDonald's will redesign its world-famous
Large and Medium fry boxes globally with original street art that
reflects the beauty and passion of soccer. The unique packaging also
unlocks the new high-tech mobile app GOL!, which allows soccer fans
from every corner of the world to engage with each other through a
fun, virtual trick-shot challenge.  
Along with the "Peel. Play. Ole, Ole" game, McDonald's is making even
more global connections through its sponsorship of the FIFA World
Cup(TM). McDonald's is building on existing programs for soccer
enthusiasts to experience the thrill of the FIFA World Cup(TM)
first-hand, including the McDonald's Player Escort program. This
year, McDonald's USA is sending 26 U.S. kids ages 6 to 10 to attend
matches in Brazil, meet some of the world's best soccer players and
walk hand-in-hand with them onto the field before their match.
Earlier this month, McDonald's selected its Player Escorts from
across the country.

Customers and fans who won't be traveling to Brazil can still join in
the celebration with the "Peel. Play. Ole, Ole" in-store instant win
game and online sweepstakes. For both the online and in-store game,
customers peel game pieces off McDonald's products, including the Egg
McMuffin(R), Large Fries, Big Mac(R) and 10- and 20-piece Chicken
Some customers will be instant winners and receive prizes like Arch
Cards valued at $10, $50 or $100, U.S. Soccer gear,
digital gift codes and free McDonald's food: Medium McCafe(R) Coffee,
Bacon Clubhouse Sandwich, Medium Fries, Premium McWrap(R), Large Soft
Drink or Oatmeal. 
All game pieces include a special code, which customers can use to
enter online at for a chance to win a trip to the
