TULSA, Okla., May 28, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Society of Petroleum
Engineers (SPE), the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) and
the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) have announced the 2014
conference program for the 2^nd annual Unconventional Resources Technology
Conference (URTeC) to be held 25-27 Augustat the ColoradoConvention Center
in Denver, CO.
A collaborative vision of these three leading professional societies, URTeC is
one of the industry's only events providing an integrated, science-based
technical program that unites the key disciplines and facilitates collective
learning. URTeC's unique platform focuses exclusively on the intersection
point of all asset team members with a horizontal look at the technologies,
emerging trends and best business practices that affect the successful
development of unconventional plays.
"URTeC was developed in response to the industry's need to bring together
geologists, geophysicists, engineers and business managers to gain a mutual
understanding of each other's roles and deploy an asset team approach to E&P
operations," said Mr. Luis Baez, Co-chair of URTeC's Technical Program
Committee. "This year's technical program will bring
together thought leaders and experts across the unconventional sectors for
three days of in-depth discussion about the topics surrounding the
sustainability and continued expansion of the unconventional market."
The kick-off Plenary Session will feature an exceptional panel of subject
matter experts from the industry — one that represents the breadth and
diversity of SPE, AAPG and SEG — who will discuss the opportunities, issues
and challenges that must be addressed before returns can be maximized in this
new integrated space.
