OKLAHOMA CITY, May 12, 2014

OKLAHOMA CITY, May 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Continental Resources, Inc. (NYSE:
CLR) ("Continental" or the "Company") announced today that, subject to market
conditions, it intends to offer a series of senior notes due 2024 and a series
of senior notes due 2044 in a private placement to eligible purchasers.
Continental intends to use the net proceeds from this offering to repay in
full amounts outstanding under its revolving credit facility, to finance the
redemption of all of its 8 1/4% Senior Notes due 2019 and for general
corporate purposes.
