Alaska Communications Recognized by Global Industry Alliance for Carrier
Broadband company receives Carrier Ethernet 2.0 E-Access certification
ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- May 6, 2014
Building on the company’s 2013 certification as a Carrier Ethernet 2.0 (CE
2.0) service provider, Alaska Communications (NASDAQ:ALSK), Alaska’s leading
broadband solutions provider, is now the first in Alaska to earn the Metro
Ethernet Forum’s CE 2.0 E-Access certification.
The certification recognizes Alaska Communications as the only carrier based
in Alaska to meet international standards to connect carrier customers in and
out of Alaska, offering instant access to Carrier Ethernet services in the
“Theachievement of the CE 2.0 E-Access service providers is a testament to
their commitment to outstanding delivery to carriers and the enterprise
market. Metro Ethernet Forum CE 2.0 E-Access standards will enable carriers
and enterprises to choose service providers with greater speed, clarity and
certainty,” said Metro Ethernet Forum President Nan Chen.
