Pratt & Whitney to Provide Lufthansa with PurePower® Engines for 30 Additional

EAST HARTFORD, Conn., April 7, 2014

EAST HARTFORD, Conn., April 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --Lufthansa has selected
Pratt & Whitney PurePower PW1100G-JM engines for an additional 30 A320neo
family aircraft. This order will bring the total number of PW1100G-JM
engine-powered aircraft in Lufthansa's fleet to 60. Deliveries are scheduled
to start in 2019 and continue through 2021. Pratt & Whitney is a division of
United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).

Lufthansa previously selected Pratt & Whitney PurePower PW1100G-JM engines in
2011 for its order of 30 A320neo family aircraft with deliveries starting in
