TravelCenters of America Opens New TA Truck Service Center at Holbrook, Arizona Business Wire WESTLAKE, Ohio -- March 20, 2014 TravelCenters of America LLC (TravelCenters), operator of the TA® and Petro Stopping Centers® travel center brands, has announced the opening of a newly built TA Truck Service facility located at I-40, Exit 283 (3747 Express Dr.) in Holbrook, AZ. The Holbrook location offers 4 service bays, and is open 24/7/365. The addition of this location takes the total number of truck service facilities in the TA and Petro branded chains to 236. Highly trained ASE- and TIA-certified technicians are on staff at this location and throughout the TA Truck Service and Petro:Lube network. The TA and Petro Service Network specializes in providing light duty repair, brakes, electrical, alignment, air conditioning, preventive maintenance, inspections and RoadSquad™ emergency road call services. All TA Truck Service and Petro:Lube service centers now carry full lines of tires from Bridgestone, Michelin, Goodyear, Continental, and Samson. “We continue to add truck service facilities at our locations in order to provide a more complete full-service offering across our network,” shared Tom O’Brien, President and CEO of TravelCenters. “TA Holbrook takes the number of TA and Petro Truck Service facilities on I-40 in Arizona to three, and positions a service center on a long span of highway where there previously were none,” he added. “Additionally, this will increase the number of RoadSquad emergency roadside service trucks staffed and available for our customers to help keep them rolling.” Later this year, the Holbrook truck service facility will offer Freightliner ServicePoint, an authorized express service and light-duty repair program available exclusively at TA and Petro truck service centers in cooperation with Daimler Trucks North America. Freightliner ServicePoint is a key referral point for Freightliner emergency and roadside repairs. The new truck service facility has been built to include generator power in case of an electrical outage. Additionally, to enhance the comfort of professional drivers waiting for maintenance work to be performed, an outdoor patio and seating area is being designed for customers to enjoy. A large, indoor waiting area with a TV is available. TA Truck Service and Petro:Lube dominated the most recent ‘Voted Best’ survey in the Truck Repair categories, with driver preference being 3 to 1 in their favor for Best Overall Maintenance Shops, 6 to 1 for Most Competent Technicians, 5 to 1 for Most Complete Shops on the Interstate, 3 to 1 for Best Roadside Assistance, and 5 to 1 for Most Trusted to Perform the Job Right. These results are based on an independent TA/Petro survey of Overdrive magazine readers conducted in the fall of 2013. The ratios depict professional driver preference for TA and Petro versus the next closest truck stop brand.
