Zoom Selects Voxbone to Connect Conferencing Services to PSTN

Zoom’s popular video and multimedia conferencing service

SAN FRANCISCO -- March 17, 2014

Conferencing and collaboration services company, Zoom Video Communications,
Inc., today announced that it has selected Voxbone to connect to local
telephone networks around the world. Voxbone provides geographical, mobile and
toll-free telephone numbers from over 50 countries and 8,000 cities worldwide
for cloud communications providers such as Zoom, and enterprise contact
centers. Calls to these numbers are delivered globally over a single SIP
trunk, without customer capital investment and without traditional
telecom-like lead times for provisioning.

As part of the agreement, Zoom has selected toll-free phone numbers from
Voxbone for expanding the scope of its cloud meeting service. Zoom’s
conferencing end users can now dial into a multimedia conference from a
regular landline or mobile telephone when a broadband Internet connection is
not available.

Voxbone is well suited to respond to the voice needs of the global
conferencing industry. Its carrier-grade inbound SIP trunking offering is
available from many locations worldwide over a single IP-based
interconnection. Voxbone does not charge per-minute fees for international
transport of calls.

“Zoom is proud to announce this partnership with Voxbone. We provide a
world-class service, offering HD cloud meetings for people anytime, anywhere,
on any device. This strategic partnership with Voxbone offers greater
flexibility and affordability for our customers who rely on Zoom for global
business meetings,” said Eric Yuan, founder and CEO of Zoom.

“Voxbone’s service is ideal for Zoom because it offers carrier-like quality of
service with Amazon-like ease of ordering and service management, and requires
no setup,” said Voxbone CEO Itay Rosenfeld. “As a result, Zoom can focus on
what it does best, and that’s providing a top-notch video and multimedia
conferencing service.”

Voxbone’s global service provider customers include Telefonica, Level 3
Communications, NTT Communications, RingCentral, Skype, LiveOps, 8x8 Inc., and
many more.
