[TodayIR] YOMA: Premium Early Years Centre to Open at Pun Hlaing Golf Estate

Yangon, Myanmar, 11 March 2014 – Yoma Strategic Holdings Ltd. (the “Company”,
together with its subsidiaries, the “Group”) has formalised plans to develop
premium educational facilities within its Pun Hlaing Golf Estate (“PHGE”)
residential development in Hlaing Tharyar Township, Yangon. As a first step in
establishing the first British curriculum school in the vicinity, the Group
has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Harrow International
Management Services (“HIMS”) to manage an Early Years Centre on a four (4)
acre-site in PHGE1.

The Group anticipates that the provision of an international standard
education facility in PHGE, one of the Group’s key flagship projects, will
further cement its reputation as the pre-eminent residential estate in Yangon
and enhance its long-term value prospects.

The Group foresees the demand for high-quality international education to grow
with the steady arrival of expatriate families into the country and the
increasing demand of Myanmar citizens seeking private education options for
their children. At present, capacity is limited with only 3,200 students out
of an estimated 8.5 million school-age children in Myanmar enrolled in five
(5) premium international schools2.

Students at Harrow’s international schools worldwide are challenged to achieve
the highest academic standards appropriate to their potential. The curriculum
is broad and balanced and ensures that children have the skills and knowledge
to develop as young learners seeking identity, belonging and purpose. In the
Early Years Centre, the curriculum is based on the UK Early Years Foundation
Stage which enables children to learn through a variety of activities; it is
‘child-centred’ and has a track record of success in establishing solid
foundations for learning and socialisation.

Commenting on today’s announcement in Yangon, the UK Ambassador to Burma
(Myanmar), Mr. Andrew Patrick said: “I am delighted that Harrow International
Management is establishing a presence in Burma at a time when the UK is
expanding its support across the education sector. Their renowned
international experience means they are well placed to deliver the highest
standards of education overseas. I am confident that their partnership with
Yoma Strategic and SPA Group will not only set a leading example of top
quality British education in this country but will also provide jobs and
training for the local community.”

Mr. Andrew Rickards, CEO of Yoma Strategic added: “Harrow International
Management Services is a premier educational group in partnership with Harrow
School UK, one of Britain’s leading independent schools. We believe the
presence of an international school and the provision of high quality
education will be of great benefit to the residents in the local community
including the residents in PHGE where the new school will be located.”

The establishment and operations of the school is subject to the receipt of
all necessary approvals from the relevant Myanmar Government authorities.
