GlassPoint Solar, the leader in solar enhanced oil recovery (EOR), today
announced it has been invited by IHS CERA, one of the world’s leading energy
research firms, to participate in the Energy Innovation Pioneers program at
CERAWeek 2014 in Houston. John O’Donnell, vice president of business
development at GlassPoint, will present next Tuesday afternoon on the
advantages of using solar steam generators for thermal EOR in
emissions-constrained environments.

CERAWeek is the preeminent gathering of senior energy executives from around
the world, with featured presentations from the CEOs of BP Plc., Chevron,
Total S.A. and Valero Energy Corporation. Now in its ninth year, the Energy
Innovation Pioneers program honors innovative and distinctive new technologies
transforming the energy future. GlassPoint, a 2013 Pioneer, returns this year
as an alumnus presenter.

GlassPoint designed its enclosed trough technology specifically for the oil
and gas industry. The glasshouse structure protects the solar collectors from
high winds, sand and dust common in oil producing regions. GlassPoint’s
project with Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), the largest oil and gas
producer in Oman, recently completed its first year of operations, exceeding
performance targets.
