For Texas major metro markets, 4^th quarter 2103 BidClerk data showed a
year-over-year increase of 31.2% for new actively bidding construction
projects, compared to a 4.5% increase in activity for the same period last
year. Private projects increased 8.9% in the 4^th quarter 2013, in a
year-over-year comparison. Total contract values in Texas topped out at $5.5
billion in the 4^th quarter of 2013. Overall, in 2013 BidClerk reported on
more than 8,500 actively bidding opportunities in Texas, totaling over $23
billion for 2013.

For the city of Houston, total contract value for Houston in 2013 was $7.1
billion. Overall, in 2013 BidClerk reported on more than 3,000 actively
bidding opportunities in Houston. BidClerk’s 4^th quarter 2013 data showed a
year-over-year increase of 29.8% for new actively bidding construction
projects. Total 4^th quarter contract value for Houston was $2.0 billion.

One notable project that actively bid in the 4^th quarter in the Houston area
is the SkyHouse River Oaks, a 335,000-square-foot, 25-story, 352-unit
multi-residential building, with an associated stand-alone precast parking
deck with 7 levels and approximately 450 spaces. (BidClerk project number
2602976.) It is being built at an estimated cost of $70 Million. The
construction manager is Batson-Cook Company (Atlanta, GA) and the architect is
Smallwood, Reynolds, Stewart, Stewart & Associates Inc. (Atlanta, GA).

For the city of Dallas, total contract value for Dallas in 2013 was $7.3
billion. Overall, in 2013 BidClerk reported on more than 3,000 actively
bidding opportunities in Dallas. BidClerk’s 4^th quarter 2013 data showed a
year-over-year increase of 29.4% for new actively bidding construction
projects, compared to a (-2.8%) decrease in activity for the same period last
year. The total 4^th quarter contract value for Dallas was $1.7 billion.

Another major project that actively bid in the 4^th quarter 2013 is the
Griffin Middle School Replacement. (BidClerk project number 2591729.) It is
being built at an estimated cost of $37.3 million. The construction manager is
Balfour Beatty (Dallas, TX) and the architect is PBK Architects (Dallas, TX).
