  Pilot program generated over 4M impressions, 28K clickthroughs, and helped

ReachLocal, Inc. (NASDAQ:RLOC), a leader in local online marketing and
commerce solutions for small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), today
released results of a successful digital marketing pilot program with seven
Scion dealerships in the San Francisco Region. Targeted paid search, display,
and mobile advertising campaigns increased website visits by 200 percent,
generated nearly 2,000 new leads, and drove over 28K clickthroughs in a four
month period. These results, in addition to strong year-over-year (YOY) sales
increases recorded by participating dealerships during the program period,
helped convince corporate Scion to co-fund the nationwide rollout of a similar
program, so more dealers can benefit from digital marketing.

“Participating dealerships saw an average (YOY) sales increase of 17 percent
during the pilot program, with one dealer achieving a 134 percent YOY

Inc. “Working with ReachLocal and Google on this Scion pilot has made me learn
about the level of traffic that can be driven to dealer websites with a good
solid digital campaign.”

The pilot program, which was backed by Scion at the corporate level, aimed to
drive more traffic to regional San Francisco dealer websites and increase
leads using Google AdWords. To achieve the desired results, ReachLocal built
location-based campaigns for Scion to make sure only the right customers would
see the dealers’ ads. By targeting the right audiences, ReachLocal reached
only the most engaged and interested users: Visitors arriving from AdWords ads
spent the most time on Scion dealers’ websites (compared to organic, direct
and referral traffic). ReachLocal also generated 56 percent of participating
Scion dealers’ new visitor traffic, in part by making Scion’s ads stand out
and occupy more real estate on the search engine results page, leading to
additional traffic and clicks.
