Swedish Transport Administration selects CGI as its strategic IT service provider CGI will deliver a range of application management and development services STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN -- (Marketwired) -- 01/23/14 -- CGI (NYSE: GIB)(TSX: GIB.A) has signed a new agreement with the Swedish Transport Administration, Trafikverket, to deliver comprehensive application management and development services, working in close collaboration with Trafikverket's own IT department. CGI will provide resources for projects and assignments, helping Trafikverket achieve specific business objectives and drive more value from its ongoing application management and development initiatives. The agreement has an estimated total contract value of 1.3 billion Swedish crowns (approx. CAD $220 million) over a four-year base with a two plus one year option period. Trafikverket is responsible for the long-term planning of Swedish transport systems, as well as state road networks and the country's national railway network. Headquartered in Borlange, it has 6,500 employees. CGI will deliver services in Borlange, from nearshore centers in Sweden and across Europe with support from its global resources.
