Workday Appoints President to Accelerate Growth in EMEA
Chano Fernandez, Previously Senior Vice President and Head of
Innovation Sales of SAP EMEA, Joins Workday to Lead EMEA Business
PLEASANTON, CA and LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwired) --
01/20/14 -- Workday, Inc. (NYSE: WDAY), a leader in enterprise cloud
applications for human resources and finance, today announced the
appointment of Chano Fernandez as EMEA President. Reporting directly
to President and Chief Operating Officer Mike Stankey, Fernandez has
regional responsibility for leading the EMEA business including
sales, operations, and services.
Fernandez brings to Workday more than two decades of sales and
operational leadership. For seven years prior to joining Workday,
Fernandez served as senior vice president and head of innovation
sales at SAP EMEA. Before that, he was vice president of EMEA sales
at Infor, responsible for global and large accounts. Fernandez also
served as a founding partner and general manager at Blue C, and as a
senior consultant for McKinsey & Company.
Fernandez holds a master's degree in business administration from
Instituto de Empresa and a bachelor's degree in physics from the
University of Salamanca.
