After a successful first financial quarter of 2013/2014 (1 September to 30
November 2013), SinnerSchrader has confirmed a dynamic upswing in business,
which had already become apparent in the two preceding quarters. In the
first three months of the current financial year, SinnerSchrader achieved
net revenue of 10.8 million euros. The figure for the previous year was
thus exceeded by 1.6 million euros, or 17.6 per cent. The revenue volume of
the preceding fourth quarter was increased by 1.0 million euros, or 10.1
per cent.

The successes in acquiring new clients in the second half year period of
2012/2013 and the considerable increase in business with major existing
clients made this clear growth step possible in the first quarter of
2013/2014. The new clients include the leading premium department store
chain in Switzerland, Magazine zum Globus AG, the chain of chemist shops
Müller and the wine merchant Vinos. SinnerSchrader achieved a total of 16.0
per cent of the quarterly revenue with clients with which the company had
not yet had any business relationship a year ago. As an example for the
development of important relations with existing clients, the
SinnerSchrader agency was able to win more assignments from its
long-standing client Unitymedia KabelBW. Since the beginning of the
financial year, the agency has taken care of the entire digital interface
connecting the cable network provider to its clients and has also been
developing a digital platform strategy for the company.

The growth in revenue was generated completely organically through
contributions from all three segments. Thus, SinnerSchrader is also growing
again in the Interactive Commerce segment after several quarters of
decline, with a significant factor being the assignment of the shop
management unit of Commerce Plus to the management of the hardware shop
operated by the mobile telecommunication brand simyo, a client of the
SinnerSchrader agency since 2004.

The positive development of revenue had a positive effect on the operating
result (EBITA) and on the net income. The EBITA for the first quarter of
2013/2014 amounted to 0.6 million euros, which is an increase of 0.4
million euros over the previous year. The net income reached 0.25 million
euros or 0.02 euros per share. In the previous year SinnerSchrader incurred
a slight loss in the first quarter.

As planned, SinnerSchrader continued to invest in establishing the audience
management business of NEXT AUDIENCE GmbH in the quarter of the report. The
launch of the first release of the NEXT AUDIENCE Platform is still
scheduled for the current month. In the quarter of the report, the
operating losses of NEXT AUDIENCE amounted to 0.5 million euros. The EBITA
for the SinnerSchrader Group would have amounted to 1.1 million euros
without taking account of these losses, which would have corresponded to a
margin of around 10 per cent.

The high demand for the services of the SinnerSchrader Group was maintained
in the months of the quarter of the report and continues unabated. The
SinnerSchrader agency gained three reputable new clients with which work
was commenced at the beginning of 2014. One of these new clients is Beck's
Brewery in Bremen. SinnerSchrader will be implementing the digital brand
presence of the company, which belongs to the largest brewery group in the
world, Anheuser-Busch InBev, taking care of all its digital channels and
bearing responsibility for the digital activation of brand campaigns. With
the work for this client, SinnerSchrader will enhance its profile in the
area of digital communication, in which clients such as TUIfly, ÅKODA and
Dole are being catered for.

The operating cash flow was negative at -1.8 million euros in the first
quarter due to growth and, as in the previous years, for seasonal reasons.
However, a large proportion of the outflow of liquidity in the amount of
2.2 million euros in the quarter, to an amount of 3.7 million euros on 30
November 2013, was regained in the period up to 31 December 2013.

Against the background of the business development in the first quarter,
the annual forecast for the financial year of 2013/2014 as a whole - net
revenue of more than 41 million euros and an EBITA of between 2.5 million
and 3.0 million euros - has been confirmed. These forecasts are likely to
be exceeded if the current development continues unabated.
