consulting services, today announced preliminary 2013 results from its i3 data
product. The firm reported that in Colorado, clean technology venture
investment during 2013 totaled $196,245,436.

According to data in i3, Colorado’s top deals and their investors were:

  *Cool Planet Energy Systems, a Biofuels & Biochemicals company, raised
    $29,900,000 from Google, General Electric, BP, ConocoPhillips, NRG Energy,
    and Exelon Capital Partners in a growth equity round
  *Ciris Energy, a Conventional Fuels company, raised $25,000,000 from Asia
    Pacific Capital in a growth equity round
  *Gevo, a Biofuels & Biochemicals company, raised $22,600,000 from Total
    Energy Ventures, Khosla Ventures, Virgin Green Fund, and Malaysian Life
    Sciences Capital Fund (MLSCF) in a PIPE round
  *Ascent Solar Technologies, a Solar company, raised $10,000,000 from
    Ironridge Technology in a PIPE round
  *Real Goods Solar, a Solar company, raised $9,250,000 from undisclosed
    investors in a PIPE round
