PITTSBURGH, Dec. 26, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ --The United Steelworkers
(USW) today said that the union will host a media teleconference at 11 a.m. on
Fri., Dec. 27, to update the public on the union's ongoing efforts to save
approximately 1,000 jobs at Ormet's Hannibal, Ohio aluminum smelter.

During the call, USW District 1 Director David McCall and others will discuss
Ormet's request to purchase electricity at wholesale market rates and provide
