  GE Appoints Three New Company Officers

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- December 20, 2013

GE announced today the appointment of three new company officers. As of
January 1, GE will have 194 officers globally who lead large
revenue-generating businesses or are in critical functional roles, helping to
drive growth.

Harry Elsinga, 49, has been appointed vice president, Human Resources, GE Oil
& Gas. In this role, Harry continues to drive HR functional excellence for the
43,500 employees across the business.

Harry has been with GE for 17 years, holding several HR leadership roles
across the Company. He was a Senior HR Manager for GE’s Global Growth &
Operations organization, managed executive development in GE Corporate, and
held multiple roles in the former GE Advanced Materials business.

Harry holds a Masters in Sociology from Eramus University in Rotterdam, and a
Bachelor Degree in Human Resources Management and Technology from Hogeschool

Rami Qasem, 46, is President and CEO, Middle East, North Africa & Turkey, GE
Oil & Gas. In this role, Rami Qasem will continue to drive the organization’s
growth in the region, which currently has over 1,350 people distributed across
several main hubs.

Rami is a 16-year GE veteran. Prior to his current role, Rami served as
General Manager for GE Energy Services where he successfully led the
organization’s growth across the Middle East and Africa region.

Rami graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in
Electrical Engineering in 1995.

Jennifer VanBelle, 45, has been appointed vice president and Chief Risk
Officer, Capital Management at GE Capital. VanBelle leads GE Capital’s capital
planning efforts including the regulatory capital, stress testing, economic
capital, and recovery and resolution efforts.

VanBelle has been with GE for 15 years. Prior to her role as Chief Risk
Officer for Capital Management, she was the Deputy Treasurer - External
Affairs and Capital Management, and has held various risk and leadership roles
supporting Capital markets and the Commercial Finance businesses.

VanBelle holds her undergraduate degree in Economics from Bates College and a
master’s degree in Finance from the London Business School.
