ARCADIS Team Assists U.S. Air Force Mobility Command in Maintaining Bases
and Improving Work Environments for Military Personnel
HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. -- December 18, 2013
ARCADIS (EURONEXT: ARCAD), the world’s leading natural and built asset design
and consultancy firm, in a joint venture with Applied Research Associates
(ARA), continues to help the U.S. Air Force Mobility Command (AMC) maintain,
expand and operate its bases ensuring high-quality working conditions for the
military personnel stationed at its bases around the world.
Under the AMC’s $25M architectural, engineering and construction management
services indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract, ARA-ARCADIS
will conduct work under individual task orders for infrastructure improvements
at various AMC locations worldwide. Currently, the ARA-ARCADIS JV is working
under a task order at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in New Jersey,
examining structural issues caused by Hurricane Sandy at two historically
significant airship hangars. This assessment provides vital information to the
AMC so it may continue to deliver on its global air mobility mission while
providing a safe working environment for workers on the joint base.
“The Air Force Mobility Command has important missions domestically and
worldwide supporting the nation’s military operations as well as humanitarian
efforts,” said Heather Polinsky, director of ARCADIS’ Federal program. “We are
enthusiastically sharing our knowledge and best practices with the AMC to help
solve their biggest challenges so they can focus on providing critical support
to the military and supplies to disaster victims around the world.”
