Procera Networks to Outline NFV Use Cases at Carrier Network Virtualization 2013

Procera Networks to Outline NFV Use Cases at Carrier Network Virtualization 2013
Joins Carrier NFV Pioneers for Panel Discussion on Virtualization
FREMONT, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 12/04/13 -- Procera Networks, Inc.
(NASDAQ: PKT), the global Internet Intelligence company, today
announced it will be exhibiting and speaking at Carrier Network
Virtualization 2013, December 9-11 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Palo
Alto, Calif.
On December 11, Cam Cullen, vice president of Global Marketing at
Procera Networks will join representatives from Pacnet, Sasktel,
Telefonica, and Calsoft Labs for a panel discussion at 11:10 a.m. PST
titled, "Applications Use Cases for Network Functions Virtualization
(NFV)." The panel will discuss the following:

-- The chief application priorities for virtualization within the network
-- NFV's relevancy for Policy, IMS, SDP, CPE, Mobile Payments, Billing,
M2M, VAS/apps, Mobile Advertising, CDNs and more
-- The intricacies involved in creating unified platforms for OSS/BSS,
CRM, DPI and Big Data Analytics across multiple carrier business units
-- Anticipated timescales for bringing this kind of innovation to
    fruition

Procera will also present in the Innovation Accelerator session on
December 10, in which leading SDN/NFV companies will deliver a series
of 5-minute elevator pitches on their virtualization solutions to the
full conference audience, and will be scored by an independent panel
of judges. The top scoring entry overall will win the Carrier Network
Innovation Prize 2013.
While carrier-class SDN/NFV is still in its adolescence, almost all
major network operators are currently evaluating SDNs or plan to do
so within the next three years, according to Infonetics Research.
Procera, a key pioneer in the carrier NFV ecosystem, is the only
pure-play Intelligent Policy Enforcement vendor to demonstrate the
full virtualization of its network functions on commercial
off-the-shelf equipment, successfully doing so in October at the SDN
& OpenFlow World Congress. Procera's demonstration included
application identification, traffic management, intelligent charging
and live migration of virtual instances of its PacketLogic(TM)
products from one server to another in an NFV environment. It was
professionally e
valuated and confirmed by EANTC in a whitepaper
released shortly thereafter.
