BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- November 27, 2013

Books-A-Million, Inc. (Nasdaq/NM: BAMM) today announced that since 2005 it has
collected over $1,590,000 in donations from customers. For the 2013 holiday
season, customer donations totaled $106,256. 100% of the money donated goes to
The Salvation Army units that are local to BAM’s stores in 33 states and the
District of Columbia.

“The Salvation Army provides hope and relief for disaster victims and BAM! is
