The Hunting Art Prize Announces 2014 Jurors

HOUSTON, Nov. 25, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Hunting PLC announced today that three
respected members of the national arts community will serve as jurors for the
2014 Hunting Art Prize in which participants vie for a $50,000 award – the
largest prize in its category available in North America.

Members of the jury will select the finalists and winner of the competition
through a two-tiered jury process that begins in January. The 2014 jurors
*Marie Bosarge, Art Collector and Founder of Music Doing Good, Inc., a
nonprofit arts organization in Houston, Texas.
*Leila Cartier, Director of Exhibitions and Curator at the William King
Museum in Abingdon, Virginia.
*Stephen Wicks, Barbara W. and Bernard E. Bernstein Curator at the
Knoxville Museum of Art in Tennessee.
The Hunting Art Prize, which is open to artists throughout Texas who are at
least 18 years of age, is historically the most generous annual award in North
America for painting and drawing.
Entries are judged through an evaluation of digital files, where jurors select
individuals to move on to the second tier. Those chosen as finalists are
required to deliver the physical artwork represented by the digital file,
submitted during the call for entries phase of the competition, for final
consideration in the selection of the winning piece.
