             PNM Unveils New Manzano Solar Energy Center Nov. 19

The media is invited to attend as PNM unveils the new PNM Manzano Solar Energy
Center and celebrates the expansion of the PNM Los Lunas Solar Energy Center.

The event takes place on Tuesday, Nov. 19, from 9 to 10 a.m. at the PNM
Manzano Solar Energy Center, 100 Bonita Vista Blvd. in Los Lunas, New Mexico.

Together, the two solar centers represent:

  *A $22.8 million investment, part of a combined $180 million PNM commitment
    to solar energy.
  *One hundred ninety (190) jobs created during construction.
  *$400,000 additional dollars of much-needed tax revenue for Valencia County
    next year.
  *The amount of energy used by 4,800 "average" homes.

The two solar centers are part of a $180 million PNM commitment to solar
energy that includes eight solar centers online or nearing completion by
year’s end, and three new solar centers proposed for next year. The Los Lunas
solar center originally came online in 2011.

PNM has had wind energy on its system since 2003 and proposes to add more in
2015.Next year, PNM customers will get their first geothermal energy from a
plant being developed south of Lordsburg. N.M.
