Allianz Life Launches the Allianz Signature 7 Annuity Exclusive fixed index annuity offers accumulation potential and access to savings after seven years Business Wire MINNEAPOLIS -- November 18, 2013 Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz Life) today announced the launch of the Allianz Signature 7^SM Annuity. Available exclusively to financial professionals associated with the Allianz Preferred^SM platform, Signature 7 is the first Allianz Preferred FIA specifically designed for retirement accumulation with a seven-year decreasing surrender charge period. Available today in 41 states, the Allianz Signature 7 can help build retirement savings with protection of principal from market downturns, valuable guarantees and a death benefit. “The Allianz Signature 7 Annuity is designed for Americans seeking higher accumulation potential for their retirement savings,” said Allianz Life Senior Vice President of Sales, Eric Thomes. “This FIA can also help prepare customers for the secure retirement they desire by providing them with flexible options.” Signature 7 addresses consumer needs before and during retirement. Before retirement, consumers focus on increasing their nest egg. During this time, the Allianz Signature 7 allows customers to accumulate retirement savings through indexed interest based on changes in several external market indexes of their choice. Customers can allocate to the S&P 500® Index, the Russell 2000® Index, and the new exclusive Barclays US Dynamic Balance Index or any combination of these indexes. It offers an annual reset that locks in earned interest each year and a choice of three crediting methods that can be used to customize an individual’s retirement accumulation planning. Customers can also choose a fixed interest allocation. The Allianz Signature 7 also protects a customer’s principal and credited interest from market losses. The Allianz Signature 7 offers flexible options for customers to access their money. If they need access along the way to retirement, Signature 7 offers 10% penalty free withdrawals in any year no premium is received. When they are ready for retirement, customers can access steady, predictable income with annuity income options including payments that are guaranteed for the life of the customer. Or, the full contract value is available to customers as a lump sum without surrender charges after seven contract years. “The new Signature 7 provides protection, opportunity and flexibility to help achieve customer goals,” added Thomes. “This powerful FIA, the fifth available on our Allianz Preferred platform, offers reassurance to those worried about saving for retirement.” The Allianz Preferred^SM sales platform is available to FMOs, broker/dealers and financial professionals who meet specific sales criteria and are committed to quality, heightened regulatory oversight and ongoing training from both Allianz Life and the industry. In exchange for these commitments, Allianz Preferred members have access to exclusive products, such as Signature 7, and training opportunities. Currently, Allianz Life has more than 8,000 Preferred financial professionals and more than 30 Preferred FMOs across the United States.
