The Estée Lauder Companies Holds Annual Meeting of Stockholders
NEW YORK -- November 12, 2013
The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. (NYSE:EL) held its Annual Meeting of
Stockholders today in New York City. William P. Lauder, Executive Chairman,
chaired the meeting. Fabrizio Freda, President and Chief Executive Officer,
reviewed financial results for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2013 and the
quarter ended September 30, 2013. Mr. Freda also described the Company’s
strategy and progress. Representatives of the Company answered questions from
stockholders. At the meeting, stockholders re-elected Aerin Lauder, William P.
Lauder, Richard D. Parsons, Lynn Forester de Rothschild and Richard F. Zannino
to the Board of Directors. Additionally, stockholders ratified the appointment
of KPMG LLP as independent auditors for the current fiscal year, approved the
advisory vote to approve executive compensation, and approved the Company’s
Executive Annual Incentive Plan. Stockholders did not approve a stockholder
proposal concerning sustainable palm oil.
