Allianz Life Hires Kari King as Director of Integrated Marketing Planning Business Wire MINNEAPOLIS -- November 7, 2013 Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz Life®) named Kari King as the new director of Integrated Marketing Planning in the Marketing division. In this role, King is responsible for collaborating with partners throughout Marketing to coordinate the prioritization of the overall marketing strategy. She also directs the marketing media strategy for Allianz entities across the United States. Her team will position the brand messaging for company events and product marketing. King reports directly to the Senior Director US Marketing, Brand and Creative Services, Julia Gutz Moller. “With the marketing experience that Kari brings, our brand identity as a leader in retirement, insurance and annuities will continue to grow,” said Gutz Moller. “Kari’s ability to develop and successfully implement marketing strategies is a great benefit to Allianz Life.” King has over 20 years of marketing experience. Prior to joining Allianz Life, King worked for Ameriprise Financial, Inc. in Minneapolis for six years. Most recently, she was a marketing director in the Client Acquisition area developing marketing programs for prospective clients, financial advisors and franchisees. Prior to that, King led the marketing strategies for Ameriprise’s high value client loyalty programs. She also built client engagement through special offers and webcasts. Before that, King worked at Carlson Hotels Worldwide (currently known as Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group) in Minneapolis, where she held director roles in the marketing department from 2000 until 2006. King also gained marketing experience by holding various manager and director roles with companies in Minneapolis including National Car Rental, Northwest Airlines Corporation and The Lacek Group, a customer engagement marketing agency. King holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn. She also has a FINRA Series 7 registration.
