In celebration of its 120^th anniversary, hot cereal favorite Cream of Wheat
announces the launch of Cream of Wheat Maple Brown Sugar Stovetop,
CreamofWheat Instant Bananas & Cream and Cream of Rice Instant hot cereals.
Since making its debut at the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair, Cream of Wheat has
become America’s No. 1 hot wheat cereal, continually expanding its family of
product offerings to meet consumer demand and flavor trends. The three new
additions further demonstrate the brand’s leadership as a hot breakfast cereal
and as a staple on pantry shelves.

A Historic Look at an American Classic

Just four short years after debuting at the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair, the
demand for Cream of Wheat exceeded production capacity, driving the business
to a larger factory in Minneapolis where the company was renamed The Cream of
Wheat Co. The brand continued to grow in popularity and demand, and in 1967,
with the introduction of the first countertop microwave oven, Cream of Wheat
instant varieties became possible. The brand changed hands several times
throughout the years before B&G Foods purchased Cream of Wheat in 2007. Thanks

The newest addition to the Cream of Wheat family, Instant Bananas & Cream,
